I really enjoyed listening to the audio CD of your book. The testimony of Muhjahid was very inspiring on how the Lord uses things in our lives for His purposes. I have loaned the CD's to two people in my church. The three of us are on a Muslim Task Force due to Don McCurry mentioning it when he came to my church. Our church is one of his supporters. I really enjoyed chapter 7 with all the ideas of how to reach Muslims. I took down the list of ideas and are sharing them with the 2 other people on the task force. Thank you for all your hard work and your commitment to seeing Muslims come to Christ.

There are a lot of books giving a Christian view of Islam on the market today. What makes this book unique is its comprehensiveness. If you're looking for just one quick book to read on the Christian response to Islam, this is an excellent pick. The book includes the history of Muhammad and the founding of Islam, what modern Muslims believe, why dying in jihad is attractive to Muslims, real stories of Muslims who have converted to Christianity, etc. It includes a very interesting comparison of the Muslim and Christian definitions of martyrdom. Then it concludes with a practical summary of ways Christians can share the love of Jesus with Muslims. The love of both authors for Muslims shines through clearly.

The audio quality is excellent, with a clear-voiced reader, with music and short segments recorded by both authors to prevent monotony.

My husband and I listened to all 4 CDs of this book on our way home from Arizona, and we were riveted! We found that if we happened to miss something, we backed up and listened to it again to make sure we got every morsel. We learned so much about Islam and how to love the Muslims into believing in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, not to mention how they tick. I enjoyed this very insightful book. It clearly shows the teachings and motivation of Muslims and how Christians have the victory through Christ's love. I recommend it to anyone who wishes to understand what is happening in our world today or even reach out to a Muslim neighbor. This book changed my understanding of Christ's command to "love your enemies and do good to those who hurt you."

I just finished listening to the audio CD of the book: "The Spirit of Martyrdom". This book was a surprise; I have read and heard a great deal on the nature of Islam, and the doctrinal differences between Islam and Christianity. However, this book contained a lot of new information regarding the differences between the two faiths, as well as true stories of Islamic believers who had a a real encounter with the living presence of Jesus, through the Holy Spirit. The lives of these believers spoke volumes of the transforming power of God, as they became fearless and full of the love of God for their fellows still without hope and comfort. The challenge given by the authors to live as well as be unafraid to die (if need be), for the sake of those who need to see the love of God as a reality was given very effectively. I heartily recommend this book! An insightful resource for those looking to understand the subject more deeply.

Wow! What an eye opener, the difference of Christian martyrdom verses Islamic martyrdom described was profound. This in my mind makes the case for the "heart" of each religion, they could not be more diametrically opposed. This makes me even more grateful for Christ work on the cross! What a gift of love and mercy to mankind. I have a greater understanding and love for Muslims after listening to this book. I look forward to meeting Muslims and showing Christ love for them through the many practical ways described in the book.

I just finished listening to the audio book yesterday morning on my way to work. The most encouraging thing that spoke to my heart was your testimony of becoming a fearless believer motivated by love. . I was impressed by the miraculous account you gave of you seeing the Lord in bright light. I was impressed by Mujahid's testimony of the miraculous in his life with his answered prayer of physical healing for those that he would pray for. You and Mujahid both speak from the heart very well. I like the way Mujahid expresses himself. He has a strong accent, but I'm able to understand what he is saying.

One thought that I came away with is that I need to increase the level of my commitment to prayer and Bible reading. I have lived a life of relative ease and comfort. The experience that you and Mujahid have with Christianity is so much deeper than my own. I remember praying and fasting at least 15 years ago. I came away from it disappointed that I did not have a deeper experience with God. Since then I have been very resistant to trying it again. I feel like there are distractions that lead me away from going into deep and pleading intercessory prayer. I'd better not make this too long for you. Anyways, I need to make some changes. I need to be a good leader in my home. I will share the audio book with my pastor. His perspective is that being lead by the spirit of God is solely reading the word of God. He doesn't believe in relying on impressions from the Holy Spirit in supernatural ways. He doesn't believe that supernatural experiences are normative for our time, just for the apostles and prophets of the new testament. It will be interesting to see what his response is to the audio book.

The two most compelling parts of the book for me were that ALL christians, not just our brothers who live under severe persecution, but all of us are called to live a life of martyrdom and that all of us should glorify Christ in our death. The Islamic issues were handled with love and respect, and the stories will make you stop and wonder why we sometimes do not fill included in the "all who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." You will do some soul searching after listening to this book. That is a very good thing! I will purchase may copies of the written book when it comes out. This message needs to be circulated far and wide.
