As we just celebrated Independence Day, we are reminded of the freedom that we have in the United States of America. Our Forefathers were persecuted for their faith and world views. They paid the price of freedom with their fortunes and lives for our sake. As Christ bought our freedom from sin, all those who trust Him are a new creation. We are now free to serve others.
This week we really want to make others aware of what is going on with our persecuted brothers and sisters in Algeria. Sharing-by word of mouth, prayer time with others, and whatever God lays on your heart to do -your actions make the difference.
As His servants, we are given the incredible opportunity to be a part of His master plan and to best prepare for such a project, we need to search His word and ask for guidance as we go to battle!
In today’s Algerian society we know of over 100,000 Muslim background Christians. In 2006 Ordinance 06-03 was passed. This law states that no audio, video, or any media; no printed material or conversations shall “shake the faith of Muslims.” This law oppresses freedom of religion, assembly, speech and press for all Algerians.
Ordinance 06-03 was passed in spite of the freedoms stated in the Algerian Constitution. In 1976 the Algerian Government adopted their first Constitution which was amended in 1996 declaring the Algerian people a democratic republic state. In the preamble of this Constitution the very first sentence is “
The Algerian people are a free people, and decided to remain so.” Also worth mentioning is that in Article 36 of this Constitution speaks of the Algerian’s freedom of creed and opinion.
Therefore, let us encourage the Algerian Government to repel Ordinance 06-03.
It’s incredible to see God touch so many lives with the faithfulness of a few! Your desire, prayers and thoughts are the backbone of this campaign. Seeking out our Lord’s plan and guidance will bring attention to the Algerians. So thank you for giving us your heart and time and resources to help the Algerian people
Pray that Algerians discover how God created us for Freedom which is the ability to choose.
: Pray that many people join us in the Algerian Freedom Campaign.
Pray that the media report on the Algerian Freedom campaign.
Pray for all Algerians to understand the freedom they can inherit in Christ.
Remember to tell others and include prayers for the Algerian Freedom Campaign at your worship services.
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

On May 28th Algerian Pastor Krimo was convicted to 5 years in prison for giving a Christian CD to his Muslim Neighbor. We are asking you to report on this event as we are asking the Algerian Government to pass laws that protect the freedom of Algerians and drop all charges against Pastor Krimo.
